Sriram Institute of Marine Studies: an institute of Merchant Navy training is a division of Swargiya Sriram Lochav Education Society, Bamnoli. The institute is duly approved by the Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India to conduct various Pre Sea courses on our campus at New Delhi. The institute has also under gone the grading of financial rating agency M/s Crisil and grader "Very good" further the institute has also attained the latest certification of ISO 9001:2008.
Swargiya Sriram Lochav Education Society was founded in the year 1993 to impart academic education to the students in the locality. As we grew to understand how dramatically training requirements were changing, we expanded our Training facilities to include maritime courses and thus SIMSND was evolved. And ever since SIMSND has been devoted to impart quality education to the fellow aspirants from India and abroad as well. Our motto is and shall always remain "Quality Education".
The Institute owns a land of over ten acres. The training activities are being carried out in a spacious three storey building in the Heart of Delhi. It is very well connected by rail, air and terrestrial communication.
Ensuring Maritime Training with International Standard SIMSND had provided the best infrastructure in terms of class rooms with modern teaching aids, well equipped workshops for practical training, Marine workshop for hands on training on Marine Auxiliaries, well furnished Hostel, Canteen facilities, Indoor & Outdoor games, Swimming pool, Medical facilities & an overall congenial atmosphere for learning by the students.
With a thrust solely in the field of Maritime Training, SIMSND has the intension to put New Delhi on the world map of "Preferred Maritime Training Destinations". With the ever increasing and encouraging support from the Maritime fraternity we are sure of achieving our Goal.
